Letting go of control

article image placeholderUploaded by @ceoshaw
So with that being said, I wanted to talk a little bit about control. And one thing that I've come to understand that we as humans, we thrive on control. Controlling situations, controlling other people, controlling outcomes, no matter what it is, and practicing Stoicism. Lately I've been researching Stoicism and really applying a lot of the practices. And one of the biggest practices of Stoicism is learning about the dichotomy of control

And I think that there's definitely a factor worth considering in that. However, I think there's definitely balance and what you're here to speak on is balance and how we can maintain that balance within ourselves, which is so incredibly important. So I'm curious and waiting by to hear what any other replies or maybe conversations unfold with this. Well, I feel like every human being suffers with control to some degree, unless you're so incredibly faith based that you don't let anything get to you

I think about how I used to get so upset when I would go to work because my job was right by a train track and it seemed to never fail when I was rushing to get to work, the train will always come and it would piss me off every time. And I will have all of these thoughts going through my head, oh, my God, I'm going to get fired. I'm going to get written up
