You Never Know Till You Try…

article image placeholderUploaded by @candylives
The second new thing that I tried was I submitted my poetry and short stories to three all India writing competitions in 2023. And let me tell you that this was also something that was outside my comfort zone, because I didn't think that my works were even worth submitting to a competition. And when I received the feedback for two of the competitions, I was so disappointed, of course, that I didn't win because I am quite competitive. I confess

Like, talking about kimchi from the perspective of the indian palate, where can I write about that, right? So I would write about that and I put it on my blog and stuff like that. And I think this is definitely one of my other outlets for writing. But not only that, my blog also has a portfolio. Like, I created a portfolio where I could showcase all of the artwork that I have compiled

Thank you. Candy. I love your voice. I love your enthusiasm, your willingness to try new things. I enjoyed every single second of these swells and your reflection. And I hope that you are having a great evening, whatever day, afternoon, time, where it is where you are. And I'm living vicariously through all the new things that you tried. But everything that you said about swell is true

Hi, Candy. Seeking discomfort is the only way forward, and you have done exactly that. And you're a natural speaker. Your ability to connect with people is marvelous. So hats off to you. All the best from my side, and we'll stay connected

Hello. This is wonderful, candy. And 145 out of 55,000, I think that's a wonderful achievement because, you know, not many people can reach that. And I really like what you write, what you narrate, what you swell. So. And I can see that, you know, swellcast is not a superficial platform here we are able to connect with each other, and there's meaningful content and meaningful conversations happening. So I think we found a good place here

But once I realized a public account might give me more opportunities and give me a chance to explore more, I made it into a public account. And then I should also say posting on swell is something that I tried new. Then I also have my own YouTube channel. Then I started posting weekly content, even on my LinkedIn and all. So when you start doing new things, initially they might be uncomfortable for you
