The Curse of An Empath

article image placeholderUploaded by @candylives
I feel your emotions with clarity, as though this was a free charity. I'm deeply and terribly burdened. I wish that I was tony and hardened. O heart of mine, do me this one kindness. Surrender yourself to the endless blindness. So I hope you enjoyed this poem. And if you're interested in more of my poems, you can always find them at Candy Lives Alive. So this particular poem is dedicated to all my empaths out there who feel their emotions extremely strongly

But that's okay. I understand. Every person has their own thing to deal with, so I don't hold any grudges in that regard. I completely understand. But at least as a friend or as a daughter, in whatever capacity, I try to be there for people. I try to at least listen to them. And that is the least that I can do for people whom I truly care about. So, yeah, thank you. Thank you for putting it out

Hi Candy. This poem is really awesome. I am also an empath because I'm always busy with or I'm always affected and influenced by my emotions. I do agree what you said like being an empath has its own advantages and disadvantages too. Because being an empath we actually consider every small thing. We give value to each and everything that people say, that people talk, everything and what people are going through

A peace washes over me and this is my happy place. You know what you're talking about that inner Zen. I guess because I have a very active imagination, this is how I imagine it. I'm sure the process is different for different people, but I think this is an important part of our lives and it takes a lot of intentional practice, actually, like a lot of things, discipline and intention

From my experience, I realized that people are not generally I wouldn't say they're bad people, it's just that they take. They're takers and they don't give back. And often they can be selfish or self centered, and they don't feel the need to reciprocate, no matter how much you pour into their lives. And over time, I realized that this called for. I recognized that there was a need for healthy boundaries where that person isn't going to change

And I am so glad that in this big, vast world, I am not the only one who is going through this. And I have also seen a lot of reply. One of the replies is from my friend Gray Matters. And I'm very soon going to listen to what she has to say about it. Because I felt she's also someone who is like us, a true empath

You know what, Candy? This meditative practice that you do wherein you imagine yourself in the nature just to calm yourself down, this is exactly something that has been discussed in Creative Visualization, the book that I shared with you that initially Rajat had suggested me, and I found that book really powerful. So it is a book on the a modern practice of manifestation that goes around. But the author, Shakti Gawain has written it back in 1970s. So that is very powerful to think about
