Women’s Day Poem: Forbidden Feminity

I strongly resisted because I was like, the moment I embraced being a woman, I had to accept everything of what society impressed on us to be a woman. So I ran away. And it was only in my late 20s did I actually come to terms with my womanhood, and I began to define my own idea of what a woman was. And I understood that womanhood is more than what is just dictated. You define what it means to be a woman

Good morning. My mornings are definitely much better now that you are a part of my morning routine. I loved the poem. I think I'm right in assuming that this comes from today being. Being the women's day. I totally agree with you when you say that. Yes, growing up, you're in want to be a woman. It was the same for me. Too many rules, too many arbitrary statements. Don't walk this way. Don't talk this way

So this is my ideal of a woman. And I celebrate it. I celebrate being independent in a holistic way. And I celebrate the thought that I am enough for me, for myself. I am complete in myself. Thank you for bringing all these points in your narrative, and I really like it

Hello, pile. And you know what? I'm so glad that my voice is something that you listen to in the morning. It's part of your routine. What a compliment, right? If I could make someone's day a little brighter in the morning and yeah, this poem had put out in celebration of Women's Day and also to open up and share my experiences as a woman and which I think you related to

Hello and thank you for sharing your experience as a woman and your perspectives because I think it's really good for me to hear different stories and different perspectives of different women
