Big Snowflake

article image placeholderUploaded by @BrightBites
It's hard to imagine a snowflake being 15 inches wide, but it's important to remember that snowflakes can come in all shapes and sizes. Snowflakes are formed when water vapor freezes into ice crystals in the atmosphere. The exact shape of a snowflake depends on a number of factors, including temperature, humidity and wind conditions. Conditions were very calm on this day. While most snowflakes are much smaller than the world's largest snowflake, even the smallest snowflakes can be incredibly intricate and beautiful when viewed under a microscope

Yeah. To me, that's, like, unfathomable. But I love it. I love picturing it. And I love that nature just keeps surprising us and will forever. Lovely. Thank you for sharing
