Healthy Boundaries !

And so, with time, I have learned to be able to say no and accept when someone else says no. Well defined boundaries allowed me to show up more assertively, authentically and act with courage and honesty. I started taking ownership of my own actions, emotions or feelings without taking ownership of the actions, emotions or feelings of others. Boundaries allow us to conserve our emotional energy. Boundaries give us space to grow and be vulnerable

For example, if our mobile is like postpaid in case it is postpaid we do not know where we are standing, what we have to pay the next. So we'll not know the limitations, probably will not calculate it. But when it is prepaid we know that we are exceeding and we have a limitation and we have to live with this balance amount till the pre charging date. So this is just for an example

And that basically affected her mental health, because she was not able to balance her work life, like her college life, along with the professional, along with the personal life, because she used to so many things. Plus she used to do the additional work of her friend as well, like a partner as well. So that is something which made me realize that making boundaries in terms of work, in terms of relationships, or in terms of any particular arena of our life is very important

Thanks, Manalika, for sharing your views and your opinion about setting our boundaries right. It's great to know that you have taken from your friend's experience how it was affecting her mental health. And yes, if we do not have our boundaries well defined, it does affect our mental health, our emotional health, and it does affect our selfesteem. So now the question is, how are we setting our boundaries right? What are your priorities to set your boundaries right?
