If you're someone like me who really likes to be committed, I want to see the whole thing through is a really big commitment. Eleven seasons is a lot of time. Well, since it was my COVID comfort watch, which strangely worked out pretty well, I am now on season five, and the show gets progressively more intense and brutal. I often have to look away from the screen. I won't lie, I am a baby

And you start to see how these characters who used to be finished fill in the blank, end up becoming these characters that really either totally go against everything they once believed or they become this alter ego of themselves. Rick, darrell. Oh, my God. Michael. Like Glenn, I could go on and on. I love that show so much. I don't want to ruin anything for you. And I am so glad that you finally decided to watch

You're like, we've been doing this since the beginning. You can't leave. But I will say this and again, I don't want to ruin anything for you. I will say this. I know I have some seasons I have to watch because just like with everything else, you have to keep the story going. But sometimes it's hard because I get really I don't know. I just felt that it was starting to change

Because, like I said, I'm normally not into horror and gore and any of those things, but I think it's because of what you mentioned that yes, there's the whole zombie element, but so much of it that I think is so deeply engaging is about the human dynamics that you can really sort of map on to our world, which is so interesting

At the end of season five started season six, the last day on Earth. I'm really excited to get there. I still cannot believe how much of a journey is ahead of me. And I'm a little nervous because I'm so attached to some of the characters now that the idea of losing any of them is, like, devastating. I'm surprised at how many times the show has already made me cry. Yes, I am a very big baby. I will admit it

I don't understand how this happened and the reason I was really excited to give an update tonight. Oh, I want to say, too, that that episode lasted Earth. I was thinking about how I don't feel like I've had an experience like that watching TV since the Red Wedding episode of Game of Thrones. And I don't know if you've seen Game of Thrones, but for those out there who have, I feel like you'll immediately know which episode I'm talking about

It's all just really engaging and really this sounds so silly, but so deeply tied to the human experience and just like life I don't know how else to say it, where there's some really incredible moments of beauty that happen and it almost feels magical due to how challenging it is sometimes. And then just like devastating loss and it all just is kind of existing all at the same time

And I think they did a really beautiful job of showing the complexity of that and not making anyone one sided. Like, even when I think of some of the characters like the Whisperers and some of them are just like, oh, this is rough. And even those characters who clearly were behaving in ways that were really harmful, I feel like the show always made them complex and make you feel something for them in some way, which absolutely loved.
