I would recommend a read, but it's not one of those go read right now. It's one of those put in your TBR. And if you're in a mood like, yeah, I'll take a Hamnet, it's one of those. So have you read this book? What are your thoughts on this book? Also, this is going to be our book club book for January. That's my Living, a Lifetime Books podcast
I must say I'm quite curious about the mysterious life and early death of Hamlet Shakespeare, and the impact such a tragic event would have had in Shakespeare's works in his later life. Although it's surprising how little has been written or known about Shakespeare's family life. And though this book seems to be a fictionalized account of his early life, I'm sure it would make for very good read. So thanks for this many review

Ramire, if you're really curious about Shakespeare's life and all of that, I think you would really enjoy this account. It gives you some perspective. I mean, yeah, it's fictionalized, but it gives you some perspective. But I guess the main characters are, you know, you have Shakespeare, you have Agnes, his wife. There's a lot of Shakespeare and Agnes relationship. Of course you have Hamnett, their son

Four stars, four stars. Shahnaz. Excuse me. How dare you do Hamnet like that

And I listened to it on the audio books, which I was a little worried about because I had a feeling that the language was maybe going to be challenging. Maybe it would have been difficult for an audiobook, but I have to say I loved listening to it much more than a lot of audio books. And I actually really want to read the author's other books on audio because I think the same voice actor does them
Bowie Shahnaz All of this high praise has really made me go ahead and place my order for the book, so I'm excited to get my hands on it. I still have a couple of more books to finish. Then maybe I'll get around to reading this and come back to this. Well with my views. Thank you guys

Yay to all the books reading them together. That's my song. In response, I'm really excited. I love getting to talk to you about these books, books and Ramya, I can't help but ask what other books are you reading right now? And do you recommend any

I'm back to reading my manuscript, the first half draft, whatever you want to call it. And right now it's a one star, if that or maybe a zero star. Well, it's just a manuscript. I have a lot of appreciation for someone who can write so practically. But, yeah. Anyway, I will catch you both later. Ramya, I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it

And I was like, I haven't read it. I know it's supposed to be phenomenal. The writing is supposed to be just, wow. So he was like, no, you need to read it. And he's like, especially since you're writing your book. He's like, that writing in Gentlemen in Moscow is just absolutely wonderful. So it's really creeping me out, Romeo, because he just mentioned it this weekend. And now you're mentioning it here on Swell
But in a way, I would say, this is really good for you, because when you are editing your manuscript, I'm sure reading these books would be a good respite for you to get away from your editing, because it isn't always good to constantly be worrying about your manuscript. When you're away from it, you need to take little breaks every now and then while editing

Schnauz first of all, I just have to say I am incredibly impressed that you sometimes listen and also read to books that's like Next Level and sounds like such a nerdy, delightful reading experience. And I want to be able to do it as well. So thank you. Also the not her defense. No

I mean, it's just absolutely great if you can just take one sentence and just break it down and just look at it and just look at the beauty of it. Look at the words used and all of that. That would totally be me. I'd be like, gawking at just one sentence, maybe even one word usage. But yeah, that's the nerd in me. Anyway, I will catch you guys later

So then I can share out on my social and stuff and see if anyone wants to join us and that would give them a bit time to order the book and stuff like that. What do you think
Shahnaz Ahmed
@bookishpodcast · 2:16
I think Laurie brought that up if I remember, right? Because Laurie wanted to do it. So yeah, I'll see what she says also, but yeah, I'm kind of open. I'm just happy to do a buddy read. It's just great to be able to talk books with people not just do like the books to grand buddy read, because that's just texting back and forth

And other people might want to join us or Chime in, which is great. And yeah, I wasn't sure when in January we wanted to do Long Bright River anyway, so we can totally hold off on that. And as we've already talked about, there are lots of books for us all to finish before we go to that next. But I am excited for when we do it. So I'll check back in when it seems like closer to when we finish the Testament

So I'm hoping in next week and the week after two weeks of the holidays that I can get a lot of reading done starting with this weekend. So yeah, you're back and forth on the four Stars and the not her defense and all. Maybe just laugh. Those were great. And I agree four Stars is a really good rating. I look forward to reading this book and discussing more with you all. Yeah. Long Bright River totally in for that
