Does concerns about artificial intelligence and chatGPT make us more cynical about people?

B does our concerns about AI and Chat GPT lead us collectively toward a prevailing attitude of mistrust and seeing everyone around us as cheaters? I believe most people want to learn and grow. We mostly want to be more efficient, creative, and find quality time to spend on the things and the people that are most important to us. How about we focus on that and other people and allow things like AI and Chat GPT to help us get to that?

You. Hi. Is this thing on? Trying out Swell for the first time. So forgive me for any awkwardness that this might sort of display here, but thank you, Bob, for sharing your thoughts on Chad GPT artificial intelligence, what this all means in terms of how we use it as humans

So I'm curious what your thoughts are on this. I'm thinking around cynicism, quote unquote cheaters, that sort of perspective, healthy skepticism. This is my thinking that while AI, specifically these newer ones, are going to help us make these great advancements, and of course, they can be used in a nefarious fashion as well

So again, if we would take a step back and put things in perspective rather than trying to be cynical about people's wisdom and knowledge. Now, your second point about the ripple effect absolutely, I agree with you. There will be a ripple effect in the sense of this is a transformative technology like the Internet, and maybe even more transformative. But the way I look at it, it's kind of like an instantaneous encyclopedia

And so this shades of gray, this attempting to break the boxes and reintegrate things, to not only look at the thing, the science, the tech, you know, what have you, but to look at how all of the systems are interwoven specifically with what it is to be human

I just was thinking about all the fun ways that you could use it and think about the cheating aspect. So that's interesting. I'm sure a lot of people have thought about it that way. I just took my brain just took it in a totally different direction. So interesting to think about

So I'm so glad to hear that that's how you approached it immediately and did not default to a more cynical perspective of oh, this is a technology that's going to replace humans, and if you use this, you're somehow not being true to your own humanity. Which in my opinion, yes, we need to be aware of how these things affect us. But as I said, none of us are judging someone for not reading a physical map and using a GPS instead
