Hey, what's going on, world? This is Anthony here with Blacklist Podcast and welcome to another episode. I want to talk about the compact disc. A lot of people are like, what? Yes, the CD. Today is National CD Day, and if anybody doesn't know what a CD is, I'm not here to educate. I'm just here to pass on the message. The music is going through an evolution in time

TALK ABOUT IT TUESDAYS: TODAY IS NATIONAL (CD) DAY CELEBRATING 40YRS OF THE COMPACT DISC. A LOT OF PEOPLE REMEMBER BUT MOST ARE LOST AND DON’T KNOW.

Whoa. That's crazy. The CD is so young. I had no idea that it was I don't know. I don't know what I thought. But yeah, 40 40 years doesn't seem like a crazy amount. It's wild how fast things move. Indeed. Also, I just wanted to say that that Nas record is, like, the perfect first CD to have, I think, but so cool. Thank you for sharing
@CrusaderWarrior

Vynal records are vintage and CD’s are catching up

So that it's, you know, since like, I mean, going back to, like, 2018, 19, at least from what I've noticed in culture, because normally I would say about once a month or so, I'll go to the record store and buy records. I mean, I bought two vinyls last week. I usually buy things in pairs or whatever that is considered vintage

A lot of people that are in the younger mindset they won't have that mentality thinking that they did it first, like it's come from somewhere else. Or the reasons why people enjoy a CD going out and purchasing it, ripping open the plastic, breaking the tape, hearing the sound of it crackle as you take it out of the little holder that it's in, placing it in. Just the whole anticipation of knowing what you're going to hear was an art form
