"Quiet Retiring"

Now, a new term on an old concept I would like to try to introduce is quiet retiring. And being that I'm in my fifty s and I've been around a lot of older workers growing up through the workforce, through my career in academia, in healthcare, and other organizations I've worked in, there's always that one that should retire but is waiting for whatever reason. Maybe they have a big board at home where they wrote down 65, 68, 72

He extended it to June and now he's extended it to July. So I don't know when this particular doctor plans to make his exit, but he keeps on extending it because like I said, they love what they do, they love the people they serve, and they don't want to let go completely. So yes, quiet retiring in the medical field is quite common with doctors. As they get older and they get up in age, they start to decrease their workload

So it depends on the nature of the job that I'd be in and whether or not I could commit to the quiet retiring and just do my thing, or if I just feeling like, no, this is like nails on a chalkboard every day, and I just can't, then I wouldn't do that. I would stick with just letting it go. I would be done, for sure. That would be my answer to that. So I guess it's a yes and no. Maybe
