The home office and motivation

article image placeholderUploaded by @BKFOREMAN69
I probably put in 50 hours a week between everything I do, but it doesn't feel like it because I spread it out. Some days are longer than that, but ultimately, be careful what you wish for. I will adjust to this, and I know in the long run this is best for me, because after 30 plus years of working with people, I just need to work alone

So I couldn't work 100% from home until 2020 when the Pandemic sent us home 100% th and all of my meetings were taking place over Microsoft Teams and Webex and all those platforms. As we moved out of the Pandemic, we continued to work 100% from home. And my clinics are perfectly content having online meetings. They don't really care about having face to face meetings by them being doctors

But actually, it made me realize how toxic some of that work environment can actually be and how much I was losing myself trying to accommodate other people all the time, trying to manage other people all the time, trying to be everything for everyone, and sometimes not remembering to be everything for myself first. So there are adjustments. And yeah, I probably do work way more hours now than I did when I worked just a regular, like, nine to five gig, right?
