The Last Song

article image placeholderUploaded by @Bibliophile
Like any mortal, she was perhaps unwell as her breath was noisy. She then tried to summon a song as the wind howled her death lament. A small, frail and dry voice then emerged from her. Unlike her ulcer round notes, she had chosen those to bear wounds of her soul, like notes from the strings of a broken liar strung tightly. She crooned one last time and sang till deep night

And one thing that really touched is that even though the content or is something which is very of a different note altogether, the heightened part of it is that even when it's not going so great, she still wanted to maintain her status quo of being in a positive way as to sing the song for the next snow. In that snow, she will just melt away. So it's like only a person who has really a deep thought can produce such a deep and very catchy poem like this

This is that kind of a poem where I found comfort in sadness. And it's not that I'm comforted by her death. I'm comforted by the fact that this is one destiny that we all share. We all are gonna go away, but let us just hope that we go away after leaving our beautiful melodies in this world. So, thank you, Gunjan. Thank you for sharing this. This was beautiful. Thank you

Hi Gunjan. This well and this poem is really, really awesome. I could see the imagery of that particular lady about whom you are talking and I could sense each and every feeling that you were describing about her. And it really touched the heart. So it was really, really connecting and I could feel a lot of connection especially. So thank you so much, Gunjan, for presenting such a wonderful swell in the form of poem. You always connect us with nature through your description

Good morning, Preeti. Thank you for your generous words and I'm so glad that you could resonate with the verses of the poetry. It is said that the beauty of a poem is enhanced when it finds an admirer, and it has happened here. The poem not only signifies bird dying in extra cold in Himalayan forest, it happens actually in a Himalayan forest. So a lot of the population of birds is receded during nighttime because lot of birds die of cold during night

But another moment says that why would a person be forced to do what the person doesn't want to do or what a person is bound to do? And it is indeed a sort of comfort in sadness, sort of a poem. And these sort of poems are written by very elderly women. And I've become old, very old, it appears

So as you were narrating this poem, it was just vivid imagery, but also powerful, powerful themes in terms of just that end, that ending, which is just very powerful. So thanks for putting out this poem, Gunjan. Really loved it. And very beautifully, very beautifully written. I have to be honest, this is one of my favorite poems

But still, there's no appreciation. I mean, really a wonderful. A marvelous composition. And I could hear so many figurative meanings in it. I was able to relate it with women. I was able to relate it with someone who's too submissive to express. I was able to relate this poem with an introvert who just gathers the courage to go and express. But still. Even if that person starts expressing

Hello Gauri. Thank you for listening to my swell and for taking out time to comment on it. And I always see that you comment on everybody's swell and provide your valuable inputs for others creations, and I really like your enthusiasm for it. Also, you said that I derived inspiration for nature and I portray some of the life's wisdom from it. So yes, that is true. Nature is one of my most significant inspiration for my reading and writing. So you have a great evening ahead

Hello, Candy. Thank you for your profuse praise, and I do not think that I deserve this kind of commendation. So, you know, Candy, in India we do not know how to praise a piece of art or literature in an appropriate way like our Western counterparts, because since adolescence we are taught the significance of science and technology and that is going to fetch us lucrative occupations

Her state singing while she died. Gunjan, this is a very soul touching, a reverberating poem of yours. It has immense depth and a momentous, a joyous moment as well. I'm not able, if I am able, to articulate in the way it should be. But if you're very good at something, you're passionate about something, and if you can do, you will do till your last breath. And that's the essence of this poem for me
