Here's a nice little slogan you can post in your classroom and teach to your students. Send like a Friend text responsibly. It sounds easier than it really is. The reason we're all impulsive. We're an impulsive society. We can't control ourselves. And our students have even less self control. The use of cell phones, Facebooks and other digital devices used to send messages make it much too easy to send messages that are hurtful

But nonetheless, it was just really interesting to examine how quickly I was able to shift into feeling very intense over text. And she was actually the one who shifted the conversation and was like, also, by the way, I would love to instead hop on a call and be able to hear each other's voices and just make sure we're coming at this from a place of friendship and love because that's what we're grounded in

People are receiving money to spend to put into the economy. They don't have to work. They get the money and they spend it. And we have to be careful about how we look at this issue, because if we can develop the insight and I guess develop a better moral compass as individuals, we're going to be better. And certainly as a country, we're going to be better. So, once again, thank you so much for the feedback on that short post
