How does God/Universe talk to you when you not tied to any religion?

article image placeholderUploaded by @BennieInLA
You. So I was raised islamic. Then at 14, I was thrown by my mother into the pentecostal apostolic christian religion. I lived that really, really hard until I was 26, when I moved to Los Angeles. And I started to explore outside of the Christianity bubble and to explore things that was considered taboo, like new ageism, spirituality, astrology. I wanted to just had a sponge for understanding different perspectives

And then I also want to hear about other times, because my opinion is that when we're children, when we're young, is that it's much easier to communicate with God. I see that reflected in my children at five and three. Yeah. I just see that they have a deeper understanding of love and harmony in the universe. It's been a wild ride for me, raising children. It's taught me so much about God

Response for @RoosterCollins

I was raised in an environment where my parents weren't necessarily devout spiritual people, but there were spiritual themes all in our house. And at that time my mother was deeply into the islamic world. We weren't devout in it, but we did do practices like the prayers and go to some of the temples, but we weren't dedicated. When my father went to jail when I was eleven, my mother had a devastating breakdown and she started depending on drugs

And I think that through our own perceptions and biases and all this other stuff, we are always in flight and fight mode in life. And God is never in flight and fight. God is a creator. And so for my kid, I want him to understand that by being a creator of your life, you experience God by walking into a life situation. And you don't succumb to fear, but you use it as a way to build your confidence through the experience. You're experiencing God

So the topic says, how does God talk to you when you're not a part of a religion? I am not a person who believes in this whole universe thing. I'm just not that. So I'm not going to address that. But I do believe in God. God is not tied to a religion, you God is not tied to a religion

And so that's another way to know if it's God or if it's not God speaking to you or if it's even your own mind. Right. Because everything that God says is going to line up with his word. Every time that God speaks to you, it's going to line up with his word. It's going to go along with something that he has said in his word. You. So again, God deals in relationship and not religion

#thankyou #Godspokethroughyou Thank you, Benny!!

I honestly think that you just got what you asked for. You got what you asked for. You manifested it. I am a person that is spiritual. I do believe in the universe, and it is no insult to those that believe in God versus the universe. I think it's all the same. I just choose that language is just more comfortable for me. To tell you the truth, I was raised Catholic and went to the Episcopal Church after a divorce and just find comfort in the universe

Hey, Benny, you got a lot of great responses here. Hopefully you hear mine, but totally okay. If not, no pressure. I just wanted to chime in a little bit and give my little tidbit of info on it. I love this. I was actually having a conversation with this with my wife the other day, and we were kind of just talking about how you can hear God. You. I'm just going to use the term God generally to describe all denominations of it

Damn. Dolph, you didn't tell me that you were a mystic. I think you're 100% right. And I appreciate your caveat there at the end, but I don't think anything that you said was harmful to anyone. In fact, I think everything you said was beautiful. And it not only displayed your own faith, but respected everyone's individual faith in the room. That's a fine line to walk, but I think you walked it

Again, if you're not hurting anyone, Smith, your beliefs and religions, and you're not forcing anything on anyone, you should be able to believe in whatever you want. I believe in a little bit everything. I've also have read a lot of books on different religions, and I have looked up a lot of different types of religions and have tried to understand different religions as well, but not just religions, beliefs in general

And many baha'I contribute that to God being part of the universe, being part of everything that he has designed, even in the flowers and the trees, the sun, the universe. So I studied a lot of other things, even a little bit of white witchcraft, all that when I grew up, and other ways, other spirituality, and even astrology, I depth a little bit in that. When I became a little high, I had the revelation. First time ever having a revelation

So I think it's pretty much how he speak to us in different ways, some of us in different languages, us even through different religion. So have a good night. Bye

It's first off, I want to say thank you for these open discussions. This topic is something that I live for, especially because I feel like I've had most communication with the universe longer than I have with people almost all my life. I've had these experiences that I've never been able to explain, understand until now, actually. And I would call it bad experiences only because I didn't understand them
