Validating yourself
But when I think back, I never really desire that validation or that thanks from that person because it's always really been me doing it right and what the mindset that I've adopted is whatever that person does for our child is simply extra. I don't depend on it, I don't sit around waiting on it because I understand that it can fluctuate and so on. Today

Hey, I think this is a very good topic, especially since I am a single mom and for my situation, I've been a single mom for a while. I mean, we had our relationship or whatever, but from the time he was about three, we haven't had any relationship like that with me and his father. But during that course of time, it came with its ups and downs, its ends and out, meaning the first man skills that they can come in and out

And that means I'm accepting everything. The good, the bad, the ugly, all of it. But some people need that constant validation that's so exhausting to do that. You need reassurance every single day. I often used to say to my son, I'm not giving you all that. You got to know it. And they would get like people like, why are you so hard on them? Because they have to know their worth. They have to know it

And you begin to to lift it up, maybe to move back a little bit, to scale back. Those people will condemn you. But the beauty about that is, when you are living in your purpose, people can try to condemn you, but God will block you. You're under that bell of protection because you realize that you're living in your purpose. You ain't doing it because you want somebody to give you a stamp of approval.
