GUNS down Chairs UP

article image placeholderUploaded by @BEAUTIFULSOULMI
Was it wrong for the second group of people to stop the beating? Should they have just let it go on and continue to record? Or was it right for them to stop this group of white people beating a black security guard for doing his job? The social consciousness in that, the cognitive dissonance in that. I'd like to know your thoughts

No, you're not for violence, but should you just stand around and watch a group of people gang up and beat one person? Should you just stand there and not do anything? Because one thought is, I'm not for violence. But then the other thought is, I'm for things that are fair, things that are right. Should you stand up for things that you feel are right? The group of people that bonded together to jump on and beat the security guard, was that right?

I just find myself on being on the side of right. Do unto others as they do unto you. Not to say that violence is correct. It is not correct. I am not for violence at all. But it's when it's to assist someone. So what if they really injured? The security guard ended up in the hospital because people just stood around. Now, for me, I wouldn't have jumped in. I might have asked someone to assist. I might have called 911

They didn't put a lock on the grocery store. Oh, my goodness, it's open. Let's just go in there and steal a whole bunch of groceries because it's no lock on the door. I was always told a lock is for an honest person. If you want to get in and you're a thief, locking going to do nothing for you. But so at this point, it was unlocked. The opportunity to be violent was unlocked, right?

But subconsciously, I think that for the rest of your life you're going to be extra precautious when you are approached by a police officer. That's the reason, again, why I started this profile, to gain different experiences, to hear different voices and be able to regulate myself. Like, I want to be angry for you. I want to be angry for the gentleman that made the post earlier. But I remember reading a post, is anger good? Anger?

There doesn't need to be retaliation to a point of more severe damage. We are not the law system, but if a little bit of self defense is necessary to regain the ability to stand or protect or be, then I think that that's very much our duty as the neighbors and friends and strangers alike. It doesn't matter. But it's our duty as a society to protect the person who's being beaten on by people who are misguiding and misusing their emotional releases

They realize that it is their emotions and so they look at it and remove the emotions and look at it logically. Self aware people don't need to react to things that other people react to. They look within themselves and figure out what's going on within themselves and then they react accordingly. No one who I'm all for defending people that you love, right? I get into it with a lot of people about that issue as being a woman of God

It's a spicy topic, but I didn't want to run from it because no response to me is a response, and you responded. And that speaks volumes. And I appreciate it. I really do appreciate it. Everyone that replies to any of my posts is assisting me with self regulation and my journey towards emotional intelligence. It's the goal. I'm beautiful Soul and I came to speak

You. Hi. I appreciate your reply. I believe you had some hashtags in there. Stand up, protect one another. And I agree. I am certainly not the law system. I think I said in another reply, I'm not a fighter. I'm too feminine to fight. I don't know how, but I would have called 911. I would have tried to, you know, find and another security guard that was there, was he the only security guard?

But again, as Edward said, are we going to be in this much of an uproar when the police are doing Ara, beating up a black person? Are we going to be even better than that? Are we going to be in this much of an uproar when black folks is fighting black folks? Are we going to be jumping in it? Are we going to run to the police and tell the police when black people are killing black people?

I topped, and I was like, Yo, did one of y'all do? And, yeah, like, that was probably not a good idea as a woman to approach a man like that, but it's like, survival mode just kicked in. It's like, you can't mess with somebody that I love, my best friend, somebody that is near and dear to my heart. Absolutely not. It's going to always be a problem for me all the time

I actually just posted on this as well. Just titled it Alabama. And you want to know where this comes from, and I tend to agree to what social media is saying is we have this hype about don't try that in a small town nonsense. Don't try it in any town. It you can't gang up on one individual and not expect people to help

Hello. Thanks so much for your reply. I heard you say that you just posted about this a few moments ago and you titled it Alabama. I'm going to go on over there and listen to your thread as well. My thread is going but I think what I'm hungry for, I'm not being a fed. And so when I say that, what am I hungry for?

You can even see how even the police needed assistance to kind of get order over the whole thing, and people even rallied and helped the police. Also, in terms of the offending party, I have no thoughts, and maybe that's where my disconnect comes in. I'm glad they effed around and found out

And I remember my parents saying that when I was a kid, I would see the employees there, and I would see another person and another person, and they were all men. And I would say, look, there's another one. There's another one. And that right there tells you that a lot of it has to do with the parenting and the upbringing, and I'm running out of time, but I would love to continue this conversation

So I'm just again trying to create new experiences for myself, open my replies up to anyone who wants to reply and respond and feel comfortable on the platform of being themselves and opening up to things that they may not necessarily like about themselves and they would like to alter and improve. I have identified many things about my childhood that I am completely disenchanted with and want to reshape my belief in a lot of many different things
