Hello, swellcast community. Beautiful soul here. And I came to speak today we are speaking about languorous versus adulting to be languorous people who take pleasure in doing nothing. They have characteristics of tiredness inactivity, especially of a pleasureful kind. I don't know, those over 35 wave plus laying around just playing video games all day and may have some responsibilities that they need to take care of, such as paying the light bill
I probably would say neither. I mean, first, according to that definition for adulting, the boring tasks that we must get done. Obviously, this is not a task that must be done that's boring, but the connotation of this person playing a game, being seen as I can have difficulty pronouncing this word, so I'm just going to call it the word. But I think that games, there's different kinds and they serve different purposes regardless of age, right?

It's just something that I think it's a part of life. As long as you are still adulting, satisfying those mandatory things that we need in life, keeping yourself safe and guiding yourself through that maslow hierarchy of needs. It's when you do not guide yourself through that hierarchical need chart and you are just playing video games or you are just always going to parties or you're just going on vacation and you don't have any adulting going on

I like that. I think I got hung up on the boring aspects of adulting, the painful aspects of adulting. But you're right, you could still describe it as adulting, because in some ways, it could be like holidays as sort of a self care. Like we need those downtimes, like you said. Yeah, I like that. I mean, I I agree. You know, of course, we all at some point need some downtime so we don't burn out. But I know for for me, a lot of people could call me langers, but I'm actually really not. It's just the unfortunate situation that I'm in right now kind of forces me to be Langeris when I don't want to be. Um, and there's also the problem of psychological issues

We might have gone through a diagnosis from a doctor that we have to digest. We might have gone through a loss of employment. We might have gone through a loss of a significant other, going through a divorce. It's so many things that is happening in life. And yes, the economy is totally depressing. Just me thinking about it myself, I go to the grocery store, get five items. I spent $88.99 and only have five items, and I need 100 items

So adulting consists of so many different things, not only working, not only taking care of kids, but taking care of yourself. And if you need to step away and play a little cute game or something to get your mind right, then I still feel like that's adulting. Okay? Thank you
