Lucky are the horses in carousels - a silly poem I wrote today
Lucky are the horses and carousels bound in their round of festival and rest, the joy of the race untainted by winners and losers, each creature crafted and painted unique to appeal to some child somewhere. It doesn't even matter if you're not the sole unicorn that the children bicker most jealously over pushing each other and cracking their friendships. You might not be the prize jewel of the pack, but at least your mediocrity does not kindle violence
