#askswell Do Men Need A Space for their Emotional Healing?

article image placeholderUploaded by @BeAJourney83
Hello. Hello. Hello and welcome. I always take a moment and focus on healing. And though all of our healing is quite important, let's take a moment to focus on the emotional healing of our men. Too often it seems to be ignored, not thought of, or perhaps even shown low value. And I think it's time to change that. So what about you? Do you feel that the importance of our men and their emotional healing is due the space that it needs?

Now it's your turn to add your voice to the conversation! We'd love to hear any additional insights, personal anecdotes, or recommendations you have.

Absolutely, because everybody has emotions and we all need some sort of outlet to release them or express them in some way. I really don't like this idea that men should have to bottle up their emotions and always be strong and manly. This weird idea of manly, which is never showing emotions. I think it's a beautiful thing to show emotions and more people besides just men should be able to show their emotions. Even I feel that I constantly have to hide and bottle up my emotions

I think this is a very important public conversation. But as I said, I definitely feel like it's best that emotional space is best served when men have other strong men who are doing the work, you know, who are willing to put themselves through the challenges and endure it, take it to the reward. I feel like if you as a man can find other men like that and you open up to them, you'll find great value
