Hi, everyone. This is river, your favorite editor in chief. And I am here to introduce the first article that will be read by the author, Barb Davis for The Beacon. This is the cou d'ETA of Church Street. This is probably the second article that we decided to write, and it is one heck of a story. So if anybody has been following, I'm not going to spoil it for you. I'm going to let Barb Weezer take it from here

She takes great pride in her family, and folks consider her to be a good neighbor. She spoke of events that will paint a picture of a situation that she says seems like it could be easily resolved if people would just listen to each other and have some empathy for those struggling with addiction. Dee says it started to get contentious on May 5, 2022, when the school put pillars across the entrance to the hospital on School Street

Landmark arrived and removed the pillars so they could begin the next morning working. Somehow the school was informed and suddenly four guys and two big pickup trucks arrived and blocked the street. They acted like it was a big party blaring music, standing outside laughing and carrying on. It scared my daughter so much that she hid in her closet for the rest of the night. In the morning, lawyers showed up. The lawyers for the hospital were very nice
