Art of listening

article image placeholderUploaded by @Basab
He starts conveying things which may not be what he is uttering, but what he wants to convey. So listen. And when I say listening. Listening with all the senses. You become a much better communicator. Listen. Listen and understand. Listen to the pouring rain. Listen to it pour

Listening is definitely an art. Most of us speak and we always, you know, end up distracting and disrupting whatever. We are listening because we always want to speak our mind. And it is the reason that most of us don't even understand what the speaker is trying to say because we are not listening. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Take care. Bye

It is always said that listening is a good skill, but no one's said that. How to increase, how to improve the this listening skill? What things has to be done? And even if you know that your mind should be in, should be present, should be available in a present state and how to make your mind in present state. Because all our mind is always wandering here and there and that's why we, we cannot focus if someone is speaking on that issue

Listening is a wonderful art. And you're very right. You know, when you say that what the person utters and what goes on in his mind are two different things. So it's always important to listen to the intent and intention rather than the words. Action speaks louder than words they say, but feel neither actions nor words. The vibrations, the silence, the intention speaks louder than anything. I believe so, yeah. Thank you for sharing this

Adding on to your point of how to listen, how to develop the listening ability, right? I believe our mind is always in the present. I mean, not in the present, but it's always either in the past or in the future when people are talking. Or we always want to convey a point, right? Like it was mentioned earlier in the above post. So we should not listen to speak, but listen to understand, right?

Sometimes they are physical one to one reading, sometimes they are through virtual meetings, or sometimes they are just through phone calls, meaning thereby I have my parents communicating with me either in front of me where I can see them or sometimes I don't see them

So it is important to listen because when you are listen. When you are a good listener, you know, more than a talker, then you can communicate better because you know what you are going to say next. You know what the topic is about and you know, everything going on. If you're not even listening and just sharing, sharing, sharing you it is, you know, like doesn't make sense because you're sharing something, the other person is sharing something
