Mori island is better known today as a small jetty off of larger and better known island, vashon island, one of the San Juan's here in the local Puget Sound area, very popular destination for visitors, as well as a beautiful bedroom community. The incident in question occurred in early June, according to most reports. Some reports say August, so there's some discrepancy there
