What is love?

That is a given that you love your parents, that you care about them, that you really wholeheartedly love your parents, your siblings, your family and your pets. That's a given. But the first time I really realized what love is, or it struck me that I was in love was when I was having so I had a girlfriend at this point in time, and we were very much in love. We were very good friends

And he opens the door, and there I'm standing in that moment as my heart is beating fast and the anticipation of him opening the door. And it was my first flight as an air quotation adult. I just felt like for me to take this leap and do something of this nature, I must really care about this guy. I actually like, we were saying we loved each other, but I was like, I actually love this dude

But now, of course, as you rightly said, the definition has changed. Now it's about appreciating, respecting and accepting people for who they are and cherishing them. In fact, cherishing them for who they are and for what they bring to your life. So, yeah, thank you so much for your response

Quite a question.

Questions like these are wonderful because they are openended. You get different perspectives. Well question what is love? Yes, love comes in different forms. Like you said, loving your parents is different from loving your siblings and loving a pet and etc. But as a whole I think think loving like you well pointed out, is caring, being appreciative and many other things. So I think love is something more complex than what we think it isn't. But what a good question

But I'm capable of loving a person by showing them care, by caring about their preferences, by appreciating them for who they are, and most importantly, by respecting them for who they are. So of course, that's how it starts. Over a period of time, you become very friendly with the other person. And friends are not very expressive. Friends have a sense of humor. Friends will pull your leg every now and then. So I think that's what also happens in love
