Wondering and Wandering

article image placeholderUploaded by @avichand
That's just not my thing. Pursuing the game, pursuing your objectives, staying steadfast onto the path, not my thing. I like to hear, they say your head is in the clouds. What's bad about that? There's nothing bad about that. Which is why now I have taken to reading and writing and as I briefly described myself as an author, as a dog dad, because that's all I am now

I think you have a really interesting take on it all because again, I would like to bring the entire Hasl culture debate here because that's what has the Culture does. It. It teaches you that you will have to always be in the game and always aim for something and you need to have a sort of goal in front of you all the time. But I think it really depends from one person to the other and it also may be at different stages of life

Some people pursue a vision and they work hard to realize it, Chand. There's nothing wrong with that. People pursue a vision and work hard to realize it. Nothing wrong with that at all. Others and of course, daydreamers. And instead of pursuing a vision, they pursue their imagination. And nothing wrong with that either. So these are the two things. These are the two alternatives. Either you pursue a vision of excellence or you pursue your day dreams

But in that sense it's not important whether I can wonder and wander literally and figuratively about the world around me and it makes no difference whether I'm performing or interacting in a particular way. I do need to acknowledge this person in front of me, right? So I can't be entirely lost. But I think it all depends on what we're talking about, where and when. And so I think that you're both potentially right, you know?

Something else that I thought was interesting is you said something about because of her age that she had to play the game, and I thought this was interesting. If you're talking about the game, as in the rat race of the nine to five job, why why does she have to do why does anybody have to do that?

So if the self is an imaginary concept, why would you get into any sort of game? To further yourself. To promote yourself. To promote yourself interests or to protect yourself interests. Right. That's what I mean by game. And when I say wandering and wandering very specifically, I mean that you're not obsessed with preserving yourself interests or protecting yourself interest. You can actually step aside from all of this and do whatever your heart desires. All right?

Okay? When I say that she's young and has to keep her head in the game, I mean, she does have to, I suppose, develop some sort of a career. And even if one takes the route that you're saying that you do things on the Internet, do creative things that you can make a career out of, you still have to build skills, right? So that's what I was talking about, that she has to focus. And the operative word is focus
