So I was just reading this very interesting article on the Internet that the mind is not an independent entity d that the mind is a part of the BodyMind complex. And essentially the mind essentially thinks and functions for the best interest of the body in its image, its surroundings, right? And this sounds a very intelligent theory. You know, they have basically trashed that Cartesian idea of the mind and body being two separate things, which came from Renee Descartes, who is considered the father of modern philosophy
You know, a very important implication of this theory is that the mind is simply a device of the body to optimize its wellbeing within its surroundings in the short run and the long, long run. So the mind is just a device of the body. And to me, it makes a lot of sense because then you can consider the human being as a unified organism, an animal like any other animal, which seeks to optimize. So the animal kingdom, all animals try to optimize
Which leads me to the other thing I wanted to add, was that in some senses I understand what you're saying with respect to it being the end of uncertainty about some questions, but I think that humans will always want to create, make, find sense in the world. And so no matter our understanding, scientifically or logically or whatever way we want to go about it, we come to some sort of an understanding. We still feel like there has to be meaning

Yay. Thank you so much. I love this idea. I love this idea of microbiome. I absolutely love it. I use the term selfcontained organism, and I think philosophers and scientists use is between monism M-O-N-I-S-M for the same concept that man is just matter, and so is mind, and mind is just a part of matter. So that whole question of mind over matter is moot is a moot point. And I absolutely love the idea that there's no such thing as mind over matter

We don't perceive reality as reality stands and we are slowly getting to a better understanding of reality but we are still ultimately in its throes of perception of it, our perception and everything like that. So with this idea that our mind and body as one, I do find that fascinating. But I also feel as though it's not completely the whole piece of the puzzle
