Pris Parker and the Door County Ghost

article image placeholderSteve Allen | Novel: Pris Parker and the Door County Ghost | Patreon
Steve here I'm introducing my new novel, chris Parker and the Door County Ghost. And this will be an online piece of historical fiction available by subscription. And it takes place in the little town of Jackson Park, Wisconsin, up in Dor County, you know, north of Green Bay. And it takes place in one eight. World War One is in progress, and the town's people are sending off their boys to fight war

Hey, Steve, this sounds super interesting. Not only the story, but the format subscriptionbased piece is super interesting and I feel like it's a really, I don't know, good use of the digital, like, online form. I would love to hear more about that and like, why you chose to do it that way

Hi, Rode, thanks for your comment. It's the first comment I've ever had and I appreciate it. We decided that since the book isn't done and I've been working on it for several years, that I would try this format of having it online as serial subscription based. And I found the only way to do that right is to put some introductory chapters on Patreon and then subsequent chapters through a paywall with a subscription

Hi. I just listened to your information about having your own online store versus going through Amazon. So it's something that I think everybody should consider because Amazon really doesn't pay much to the author based on what I have heard from fellow authors that have used Amazon. Whereas, like you say, when you have your own store, you have more personal touch and so forth
