Spain passes Historic Laws Sparking Conversations about Consequences and Setting Records: Should Other Countries Follow Suit?
This is a cause of major celebration, and lgbtq activists celebrated the vote outside the parliament at the capital of Madrid on Thursday. The way these laws came about is pretty interesting, to say the least. So Thursday's vote follows an attempt by the right wing Popular Party to knock down the 2010 legislation, which allows abortion within the first 14 weeks of pregnancy. The country's Constitutional Court rejected the challenge last week. However, Spain introduced these revolutionary laws, and there was also a law on abortion
