Get Dirty!! Yeahhh

article image placeholderUploaded by @ashdew
When you plant a seed and you get the first tiny leaf, trying to grow it is so magical. Gardening is going to teach you patience, being attentive and being persistent and many more things. I would love to have a piece of land where I can grow my own food and wake up to my crops of corn and mustard every morning. I don't get many hours of sunlight in my balcony, so the only thing that I can grow are chilies and a few cherry tomatoes

Hey, Ashmi. So I loved this. Well, quite the humor infused one, so kudos on that. Now, I come from the land of jackfruit, so if someone told me that jackfruits grow under the soil, I don't know what I do. But, yeah, thank God I've never had to meet anyone like that, because I can't guarantee my reaction. That and I agree, the benefits of gardening are immense. I mean, I come from a farmer's background

So I stayed at an old couple's house, and the uncle had so much land in front of the house with all kinds of medicinal herbs growing around, and every morning he would take me on a tour, and we would eat brahmi and other such leaves growing on his land. I remember the coconuts being the sweetest and the pineapple plant and the curry leave plants. It was just amazing. It had a lot of impact on me, especially being from the city where I was born and brought up

It's almost like all the negativity is being pulled out of you, is being filtered out of you, and you are able to connect with a lighter version of yourself. Not sure if that makes sense

You? Oh, yes, I think I understand what you're saying. Yeah, it does change the energy. And I think okay, this might sound a little cuckoo, but I think that plants have spirits, or souls, too. Like, each plant has a certain spirit to it, and there are certain plants that can actually guide and heal us. Like, if you have heard the Ayahuasca thing in the Amazon, so Google that you haven't

Hello. Yashmi. Thank you for inviting me to this very lovely topic. And both you were your topic seeka. I really enjoyed it, although I'm not into that garden thing. But yes, I do have a banyan tree, which is a bonza, and it's almost eleven years old, so it's a lot of thing which goes into it. So I've learned this trick of Japanese bonsai thing th in Mumbai when I stayed over there

Right. Similarly, personal growth works, achievement works, and you get success. So your expression in itself is a reminder to all of us. And I think those who are listening and are involved should also share. That how this works. And the flip side is that if you try looking at it, that success and personal development often require the same tools and tactics that we use in gardening. Right? And the necessary effort needs to be put in. You have to get your hands dirty

Hey, Rohit. I'm glad you liked us. Well and interesting carrying a bonsai around. And you know, I had a dog to a Labrador. He passed away last year in September. He was 13 plus, so I'm sure both Shiny and Gary are in doggy heaven right now with lots of bones and chicken legs. I nice to know that there's a burial ground for the dogs. And every time I hear you speak Punjabi menu bochangalagdai. Seriously, menu masiyanthanidi adajandi

You. That was the best swell to wake up to on a Sunday morning. Firstly, your accent is so beautiful. I loved listening to just the voyage of enjoying beautiful greenery and gardening and dirt and all the things and I really now understand the heart of the Green Thumb and relate to that and relate to gardening everywhere possible and relate to the wild gardens

And there will come a time, I think when it would be required that we grow our own food because anyway, the commercial food that we consume is laced with lot of fertilizers and weedicides which are obviously not good for us and that is how organic movement has started

#nevergotdirty #gardening #bamboozled

Hi, Ash. Thank you so much for inviting me to your swell. And I must tell you, you completely bamboozled me with the title Get dirty. I was wondering the whole time, ever since I got this notification from Swell, that someone has invited me to get dirty. Yeahhh. And I was thinking, what is it? What is it going to be? And I could have never imagined, never, ever in my wildest dream could have imagined that it could be about gardening
