He bored me, but he was so in tune to children and their wants and their needs. And so they need to be heard. They don't need to just be fed and put expectations on them. That's what we do to our children right from the beginning. We have expectations as soon as they can walk. We're like, okay, you got to walk this way as soon as they can talk. You have to speak this way
I think a lot of us as parents, we get caught up in thinking that basic things are met and that's good enough. And it's not you're talking about an entire other being like you're influencing the future in such a way through this person. How you damage them is how you perpetuate that toxicity into the future. So I kind of look at it as I want to enter into relationship with my kids where it's one, it's relational because they're individuals
