Why can't the Fed just say they are done with hikes?
On the policy front, you will hear a lot of markets talk about how central banks must be ahead of the curve. I think the more realistic way of looking at this is central banks should be a bit behind the curve because they cannot and they should not be preempting data that has not really hit the markets as yet. So the cost of preempting data, preempting trends are very costly for central banks
