I bought a Peruvian Ocarina

article image placeholderUploaded by @Areej.k
I was like, oh, my God, I want an Ocarina, but this one's lower, like, the notes, but it's pretty accurate when I bought it, and I played it like, I tried it for the first time at home. It sounded really bad, but it's because I just didn't know how to use it

Ocarinas are found in various countries (e.g Mexico, Italy), but the Peruvian Ocarina consists of 8 holes, compared to the range of 4-12 holes.

Oh, my God. So cute. I love it. The art on that is so pretty, too. The colors. I love it. And it sounds really cool too. I didn't expect that sound because we heard, like, the very little one, and it sounded kind of odd. But I'm glad you got the big one because it sounds more, more full and prettier. Also, it looks kind of like a face because there Areej two dots and then a mouth

I kind of want a better one, like on Amazon. If I get better at this and I really like it. But yes, thank you for your comments. I love it. And I don't know why there's holes on the front. Maybe it is supposed to be faced. Maybe it just helps with I of sounds. Not sure

No, I'm kidding. She played it nicely, but the notes were really awful. They were really high. So it sounded like a whistle. And yeah, I like the sound of this. What do you mean, out of tune? By the way, I'm really confused is, do you tune a wind instrument? I'm very confused. Please help. Also. Yes. We didn't talk about how it looks like a face. It kind of looks like a turtle

Oh, yeah, the kissing the turtle thing. I think I just blocked it out of my memory, so I was like, Girl, what? No, I'm just kidding. Okay. What I mean by out of tune is that every I just noticed this that, like, every single hole on the instrument is the same size

@rameenaamir

Yeah. What you said makes sense. That's kind of that makes sense. That because they're all the same size hole. If you only press one of them down, it'll make the same noise. It's kind of similar on, like a recorder. It it's more it makes more of a difference because a recorder is not is like the long and not circular. So the air isn't like it's flowing rather than just like existing in the whole

Also, I feel like the fact that you can only make new sounds by covering more holes makes it kind of easier to learn, almost even if it's less versatile. Thanks for the info. I was actually curious. Is it kind of like the end piece on a recorder? That's what I think of. Thank you
