Should we still follow COVID protocols?

article image placeholderUploaded by @Anwesa
So even after taking precautions, wearing double masks or rather wearing masks, maintaining social distance, staying in isolation, even after doing all of this, the pandemic is still raging on and on and the virus, it seems to mute it on and on further and becoming more and more powerful. So what's the use? Right? So if it occurs, even if we are taking precautions, then why take these measures? Right?

Hi Anvisha Yes, I do agree with you. We should follow the COVID protocols. We do not know what future new variants will come or how much their effect will be upon us. So the least which we can do is to make maintain our individual safety by wearing the masks up, by maintaining the social distancing. So what we can do whatever it is in our hands, we should definitely do that

@Angira

Hey, Angira. It was good to hear you. Thank you for replying. So, irrespective of so many waves coming, we should always maintain our precautions so that we prevent ourselves from further danger. Right. Or other more aggravated conditions

Covid can spread but it's not the cure from COVID. And the third point which I want to mention is that we shouldn't avoid marks because it's recommended from who? Yes, we know that in some Western countries they avoid marks so that they can gain the hard immunity. But still I think we shouldn't avoid this in our country

@OmegaSouvik19

So yes, I think we should still be taking precautions and not be just so much casual, just that because the waves are coming and even after taking the vaccine, we are not getting that much results. We are also again getting affected because as I feel that the vaccines which have been developed have been developed for a certain strain of virus, yet newer strains are coming. So newer vaccines has to be made for that or rather stronger vaccine. So we should not actually lose hope

Hello. Hi Anisha, it's Oishika again. Well the question you posed is like if a person is in stage three or stage four cancer, should he be given a chemotherapy or a radiation therapy? Well he should at least be given a chance

Like they can help us to combat the excessive pollution because we are seeing different allergies and people being reduced due to the protocol because wearing the mask helps them to prevent exposure to those allergies. So I think we should follow the Covenant protocols, normalize them because of these secondary advantages as well

Hey Oishika, really thank you for sharing your insight with us. And yes, I also feel that we should actually follow the COVID protocols because what is saving even if it might not be saving us from that much, it is saving us from air pollution and many other kinds that could lead to many other kinds of diseases. So yes, I always believe that prevention is better than cure, as you have already mentioned. And thank you for replying

@Sandstorme

Hey Shandy Pon, good to know that you are also from Kolkata and thank you for sharing your insight with me. And yes, I totally agree with you that we should always follow the protocols because it is saving us from many things and it is actually pretty protecting us because the levels of pollution and the suspended particulate matter is day by day increasing in our atmosphere and it could lead to many types of lung diseases. So yes, I think the time will come when even if there is no CoV

Yes, we should follow the COBIT protocols, because if we follow the protocols, we have saved somewhat from the COVID. But as we know that many stages are coming Crown Delta, Crown Coburn 19 or some else, but we should follow the protocols. Our first preference should go to our safety. We should wear marks while going outside and maintain the social distancing with others so that somehow we are safe from these kinds of viruses. So your point is very good. Thank you. Bye

And evidence that the masks work lies in the infection rates of doctors, you know, doctors and paramedical workers, nurses. They are not really affected so much by the COVID-19 disease, and that is despite being in proximity with the patients. That is because they have a very stringent protocol for masking and hand sanitization and PP wearing, et cetera. So that makes up a good case for wearing this mask. And in addition, the masks really have to be worn properly

Thank you for replying. And yes, if the precautions are taken properly, it really reduces the number of cases. And nowadays the cases that we see are mainly due to negligence or not having taken get any kind of doses. So yeah, that's also a point

Like in my case, I had my two doses done, my second dose was also over then also I got COVID positive. So it's not like that, it just lowers the chance of you being unwill or it just lowers the risk. So that's why I think they should keep on following the protocols. But yeah, let's wait for the third wave to just pass away. Let's just survive throughout and hope for the best in future

Yes, I totally agree with you. Vaccine is actually not a cure but it is just helping our immune system to get more equipped to fight the disease. It actually helps us lessen the severity of the disease and not just completely defend off the disease. So yes, we should really not stop following the protocol. And following this protocol is just for our safety. And thank you for replying

But if we see in case of normal cough and cold, also the transmission is in case of normal coffin cold also we are always instructed to cover our faces. So while we are not viewing this from this angle, that in case of that also we are covering our faces like this. Now it's time for us to view this COVID also in that way, in that case, also we are covering our faces. So here also we need to do this

Hi Debankita beautifully said and I actually agree with whatever you say. And yes, I think a future is coming where mask will be a necessity even if Kobe is there or not. Because due to the increase Singh air pollution and related bronchiol diseases and lung diseases I feel that a time will come when masks will be actually what to say compulsory for us to live a healthy life if at all. I

Yes, preferrity. I totally agree with you and we cannot afford to have another lockdown since we are already heavily burdened by the losses of the previous lockdowns. It has severely affected our education and economy. So we can't afford to have another lockdown. So it's better to follow the rules as it is and follow the protocols so that at least the severity of another wave can be reduced. And it's let's hope for the better that no other waves come

Hi Shitama, very beautifully said and I actually agree with whatever you said. And again I'll say the same thing that prevention is better than cure. So if it helps us to protect ourselves from not just coping weight but also other kind of diseases, so why not follow it right? It is not doing me any kind of harm, just taking some precautions and just a little bit of discomfort will actually not matter if it can actually protect me from a lot of other things so why not?

So similarly, here also, in spite of knowing that after following all the COVID protocols, we might be affected by COVID-19. But still, I think that we should follow the precautionary measures which are in our hands. So in my opinion, I think yes, we should follow the Covet protocols, like wearing masks and frequently using hand sanitizers and maintaining social distance and so on. Thank you
