Digital Emotional Support Apps and Self Care
Hello everyone in the Swell community. I do apologize for the background noise. I am actually outside. I decided to take a break today from my studies just for a little bit and I began to reflect as I sat here on the impact that digital emotional apps and platforms are having on the mental health community as well as wellness and self care community. A lot of these platforms I'm noticing are really starting to change the trajectory of how we approach mental health care and basically how we care for ourselves
Because I think that's really what it all is, right? Like, I have a couple biohacking software gadgets that I can put certain monitors on me and then do a meditation and all these other things that have been around for a couple of years. But it all serves a point to just kind of give you a quantitative data or quantitative read with numbers and measurements and metrics to indicate to you how mindful or how present or how still your heart rate is

It. Hey, thank you so much for your response. I definitely loved all the points that you hit. Definitely, definitely mental health and wellness. Overall, as you said, it affects society as a whole. So I agree with you. It's a society thing. As a collective, I also agree with you. If it's done, these apps are done in an intentful way and in a conscious way. It definitely can help and benefit people
So they have to protect themselves. I think it's there. I think it could be done better, sure. But I don't expect every company or corporation to do that because I don't believe that at this time in history, all the companies truly have our best interest in mind. So hopefully that makes sense. But I love this conversation
