Sugar in Grits -Yummy! Who knew?

But there are times where I'll make some grits, I'll have a little small sampling, put some sugar in it, just a little something to like, and I'll finish off the bowl with it being savory. So sugar and grits was a game changer for me. Who knew? Glad I tried it

It's, girl, you tickle me with this. You tickle me. Because it's so innocent and it's so cute. There was a huge debate, and there's still a debate. Sugar and grits or salt and pepper. A lot of people eat them. Savory. Salt and pepper. I never eat them with salt and pepper. It's always with sugar, sugar and some butter. Maybe some cheese and some grits

Thank you, sis. Because when I first posted on Facebook, and I was like, listen, y'all, I tried sugar regrets. And it was good. I had people unfriend me and send me threats. No, I'm kidding. I'm kidding. But you know, the debate is serious, right? I had people that were like, Angela, have you been hacked? And I was like, no, y'all just try some sugar

When you said I shall never. Girl, people be deaf. Serious. They be straight serious. When you talk about putting sugar on grits, they be having a panic attack. Seriously. I mean, it's a debate, you know, sugar on grits, you know, or not. But, yeah, girl, it's good. And you have me so tickled

I mean, that's just, you know, that, that's just, I wonder how some people was home, you know, some people don't got home training if they don't put sugar in their grits and they don't put pet milk or evaporated milk and sugar in their oatmeal. Like where's the home training? I got to wonder. Same thing with the ketchup at Lady Phi did, has a swell

Ketchup. I don't like cold ketchup. I do not like cold, congealed ketchup. So we go and debate about this one. But when it comes to home training, I realized last night. I discovered last night that my oldest son doesn't know how to play spades and I feel defeated. As a mom, I could have sworn I had this kid at the spades table with me playing with my mom and them. And even I don't know where I went wrong

I cook with salt, but I don't put salt on top of my food. I'm very sensitive to salt, like pretzels, potato chips, and stuff like that. I'm very sensitive. I don't put salt on top of my food. But when it comes to grits, black pepper and butter, that's it. Black pepper and butter. When it comes to me wanting something sweet, when it comes to hot cereal, you hit the nail right on the head

So I don't know if you could just make it into a pudding or a porridge without adding a whole lot of stuff to it. A lot of water, a lot of milk, whatever. But, yeah, grits are definitely not something to eat often, if you care anything about your waistline. But if you're going to have the grits anyway, add a little bit of sugar. It's carb upon carb. So, like you said, it's a little hot cereal treat

And I was telling her, it's easy. I could teach you whatever. So her husband and some of her friends taught her how to play, which is fine. So, yeah, we're not going to talk about spades because I was like, but I know how it was that I didn't teach them because I didn't learn how to play spades until I was in. My boyfriend taught me how to play spades and dominoes because we had parties at my house

And I started making it myself, started making shrimp and grits. So, yeah, it's good to be open to different things or new things. I mean, there are so many nationalities and different places out there to just try different foods, and so I'm always open to that. I think the only food that I do not eat is eggs. I have what's called an adversion, like a food aversion to them. Like, I can't digest them

And one of the good things about me is, although I eat meat, for a while there, I was vegetarian and I even was vegan. So let's say there's no meat and all we have is vegetables. I can rock with that. I can rock with that. Let's say all we have is meat and all the farms are contaminated. I can rock with that, too, because I've done keto, I've even done the carnivore diet, which is straight up meat

We were playing Uno and my niece mentioned that my oldest son doesn't know how to play spades. And I was like, what? But the way my son, my eleven year old, was dealing, I had to stop him just like my mother stopped me. And I was like, you can't deal like that because if you deal like that at somebody else's house, they'll cut you. I had to tell him the way it was told to me

I'm just unwilling to use God's strength to allow me to put sugar in grits. No. Glad that you were able to try it. There's some things that I'm trying later in this phase of my life that I really turned my nose to in my youth, in my young adult years. And now I'm like, yes, give me more Kel. Kel. Girl, me and Kel are best friends. I love me some Kaye
