#TellYourStory | Something I did once but will never try again...

There was more people being drunk, more people vomiting, but at this time, they were also peeing and pooping on the streets because all the respectable places had their bathrooms locked, right? And so it was that kind of party. I remember when the ball dropped and everything was over. Mind you, I never got close enough to actually see the ball drop. So I'll just let you know. I did see the fireworks after midnight, but never the ball

And now knowing here, you hear the numbers of people packed in there, that's just an incredible story. I understand why you would never go again. I understand that it was a lesson that you never could have unless somebody else had. I mean, you kind of had to be there, really, because unless somebody else told you, I'd never heard you see it on tv. I'm just flabbergasted. I just so overwhelmed by that experience. You made it sound pretty terrible

I've gone to carnival in Oakland. You actually reminded me that I went to New Year's in Vegas on the strip once. I would describe that as you're kind of describing New York, but there were porta potties everywhere. But as you can imagine. But I would think the most shocking thing of all, and the thing that I tried to avoid the most when I was there, and this is a sign of the times, is girls gone wild

But when she was alive and we get together with her friends, we all still recount the story the same way. We will never, ever do it again. A terrible, horrible experience. And I don't know if that was your first time going to Times Square last year, but if you remember, if you've ever been there or you remember from movies, Times Square in the was porn central. Everything was like triple x. It was those theaters

And, of course, the girls going wild, man, crazy times. And here's the thing about Vegas, because I think Vegas has changed, too. Because my first time in Vegas was, like, three years ago, 2021. My son actually lives out there. He works for Caesar's palace. And my first time in Vegas, I didn't see this whole, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. I didn't see it

However, the presence of families and that has always been there because of the Eminem factory and Excalibur and circus circus and other kid friendly attractions. Now, there are more, and I'm thankful for those things, for sure. But, son, working at Caesar's palace, I spent some time there. I spent some time there specifically for my 21st birthday at Dick's last resort. I don't even know if that's still there. So familiar with the grounds

I can't say the name of it. I did not win. So I didn't put a lot of money into it. But it's Vegas. I figure these slots are hitting. They did not hit. So waste of time, waste of money in that aspect. And I'm definitely not drinking like that. Even if we were going to have some wine

Hey, sis. I remember you telling this story a while ago about New Year's Eve in New York. And honestly, I can't say I'm surprised. You know, I know that New York, and I've been to New York twice. I know that it is painted to be this glamorous city, the City that never know. It's just this great place to be. And I love New York. Both Times that I went to New York, I enjoy being there

Vegas was one of those things where I saw it, I was like, it is larger than life Grand Canyon, but there's a lot of these things that are hyped up, and then you do it, you're like, really? But that could actually be a spoiled topic for another day. Not just landmarks, but things that we hype up. We hype up marriage and we hype up parenthood, and we hype up

Oh, my goodness, you are brave. So brave. Because it looks like pandemonium on tv. Even though they try to disguise it, I have always thought in my head, there is no way any of that, in any shape or form, can be enjoyable. Although I know people make the most of it and enjoy it. And it's one of those things, probably like one of those once in a lifetime things where it's okay, I'm going to try it

I'm not going any weekend. So I definitely feel you on that. When it's too many people, it's a lot. I've also done the Thanksgiving Day parade in New York City. That one, though, I don't have any regrets, though, because that is definitely more geared towards always been, it's a different crowd right off the rip. People are not getting drunk and not vomiting. It's always been a more pleasant crowd

When I went down there, this was after the ball dropped, when people were pretty much doing what you just mentioned, throwing up all over the place, using a bathroom in the streets. I mean, you didn't mention that. But basically a lot of places were closed. A lot of public places to use the bathroom were closed. So people, both men and women, just pissy drunk, passing out, just sleeping everywhere

But, yeah, I did mention that people were using the bathroom on the street. I did say that because that's what they were doing, because there was nowhere else to pee and whatever else. People were bending over, I guess, squatting down if they had to poop. Listen, it was just chaos, pandemonium, disgust, absolute disgust. And yes, it forever remains as something I did once and would never do again. But that's interesting that you don't do roller coasters
