So of course we have the mask that, you know, everybody's wearing now for Covid-19 then there's a picture of a mask from like a masquerade ball, one that you would wear for that. Then there's a picture of a mask that you would wear

Not that I wasn't a good person. I'm a great person. That's how I feel, that I'm a great person. But I had to be something different with that to achieve the look and status that was needed at my church. Now I don't go there that much anymore because I'm an adult, and I go with my husband when we do go. And I feel like finally I can take that mask off because I am who I am

And that does make sense because people get an opportunity to hide, especially when, let's say, online dating. And a person can hide behind the mask of a computer because you don't really know who they are. And if you don't know who they are, they get an opportunity and you can't see who they are. If they choose not to show who they really are or they show a picture of someone else, you don't really know what's going on

And most of the time, as long as people don't know who they really are behind the mask, then they're able to operate and operate in their superpower and do what they need to do to help other people. Like, at what point have you even formed your identity? Have you ever formed your identity? Or in turn, is life just a performative act based on whatever circumstance or space you happen to be in? It's like a real mind trip. I think it's such an amazing conversation, but it's horrifying and it's scary because it makes you really question, what are you doing? What are we saying? So we're just in the matrix

Then they go around and they are constantly performing and pretending to be somebody that they're not, and then they are left feeling unsatisfied, because what they're getting is what the person who presented themselves is, but it's not their true self. And so that's why a lot of friendships, relationships, period, any kind of relationship, they don't work because somebody is always pretending or performing and never works that way. Right

And maybe that's not always clear when we meet them. But as we spend more time together, as we build in the love story, it's important to have those reflective moments to understand why is this person in my life? Why do we share this love? What are we supposed to be getting out of this individually? And then what are we building together?

And so you talking bad about the mom and the dad is not going to make you look better. It's not going to make the child love you more than them. It actually, over time, will build up resentment for the child against you for saying bad stuff about their mom and their dad. And it doesn't matter how bad a parent treats a child, that child still loves that mom or dad because that's their mom or dad

And whether the love that a child feels for their parents is everlasting, I guess it depends, right? Because there are some of us who are exposed to things in life where it is just like unsafe for you to be around your parent. And that's really unfortunate. And I don't think anyone would fault someone for being like, no, can't really be around that. Right. I can't really entertain it, especially someone who abuses you or
