Healing to heal - the day I blacked out on my daughter!!

As a matter of fact, I'm going to have your dad come get you and take you home, because you can't stay with me for a while. That's going to be your punishment. So to my daughter, I'm talking to my daughter, but as I'm talking to her, she starts to get smart. So I'm like, yeah, just go in the room

And as she was heading down the street, my youngest daughter's dad was coming up, so he grabbed her and put her in the car with him. And he came and got me. We took her to my dad's house. I told my dad what happened. And I told my dad that she needed to stay with him for a few days because I didn't trust myself. So why am I telling you all this? Because that day, that moment is one that has haunted me

You. It didn't make things better. You know, the only thing that came out of it was that my daughter was afraid of me. And it took some while. It took some time, because whenever I would go at her, like, if I was trying to discipline her, first of all, I didn't trust myself to discipline her. So she got away with a lot because I didn't trust myself to discipline her anymore

I have had several times where I have blacked out with my kids because they try me. And when they try me, I try to ignore them. I walk away. I tell them to be quiet. I try to redirect the conversation in a positive manner. But there are sometimes that my daughters try me. One of them has ADHD, and she will not apologize for anything. She never thinks she's wrong

I'm always here, Andrea. I'm always here. All ears. And that's one of the beauties about this swell. Not just the swell, but the fact that we have a strong circle. Have a great day, my sister

Thank you for replying, Mo. And I know you'll eventually reply, and I do the same thing. That's how I missed part one of your story, because it had dropped down so far. And so now I've been going through and just making sure of go through and go to the bottom and then work my way back up, right, just in case I miss something. But yes, things between my daughter and I are very good

So that's why I wanted to encourage you, too, that it will get better. It'll get better later. You know what I mean? It may not seem like it now, but it will get better later. And even my youngest daughter, as much as she get on my nerves, but even her and I, we have a good relationship. We have a pretty good relationship. So, yeah, it'll get better
