Why do we tell people that they have to be politically correct? If i cant stand on the Word of God and live for God. I will never be!!!

Ah. Have we placed too much emphasis on being politically correct have we placed so much emphasis on being politically correct that we're no longer able to have our own opinions, that we're no longer able to disagree without being disagreeable? It have we become so politically correct that anybody who thinks outside of your ideology or your theory has to be, quote unquote, canceled or is called a bigot or a racist or phobic? Right

I have a few thoughts for whatever they're worth for context. I am a former believer, but I do see there being deep and great value for many who do believe. I am also a gay woman, and so some of those things may offer a little context. I do think that there are issues with political correctness. It's become very much about word policing

Yet disparaging comments, hateful comments and disrespectful comments are allowed to be directed and targeted at Christians. And it seems as though tolerance is only a thing if you're not a Christian. If you're a Christian, we don't have to be tolerant of your beliefs. We don't have to be accepting of your beliefs. We don't have to be accepting of your ideology because you're a Christian

We are thinking about how this will play out if we say this or that amongst this group of people, or on this app, or to our sister, or to we're constantly evaluating this, to where we are constantly being politically correct. Right. And to each his own, really. I find it interesting that a person doesn't feel like they can say what they want to say

And a lot of times I'll just give them scripture, like, here, just read this, and then you can better understand where I'm coming from, right? But like you said, the scripture is given for seekers of God, right? And for people who are looking for God in people who are not looking for God and who do not believe in God, they'll never understand the scripture. And so you're correct in that. And I understand that

Meaning that I try to live my life in a holy and an acceptable way to God, right? And so that kind of kills the whole denomination and all that kind of stuff. But you are so right, and that was my point. And maybe I should have said intolerable instead of politically correct or incorrect. But yes

@FryedOreo

But I just think it's a sad world that we live in where we have to be as a believer in God, I have to be so tolerant of everyone else and their beliefs and what they want to do, but nobody has to be tolerant when it comes to me and me being a believer in God. And I think that's wrong. And so maybe politically correct wasn't the correct term to use intolerable probably was better
