So if you have an issue with me being me, if you're intimidated by me being me, then you're not a person who's supposed to be around me, unless you're trying to level up, because I'm never going to dumb down myself for you to make you feel better about you. And that's how I feel about a woman, a man, anybody. I am authentically me. And it took me a long time to get to this place where I am right now

They didn't just elevate me to the worship team off the street or anything, but I was an outsider in that I was not a part of the quote unquote, church culture that they had been a part of for several years. And so when I first joined the team, this particular girl on the team did not like me at all. At all. She would not speak to me when I would come to practice

I know when I joined the church that I'm at now, I knew everybody there because their church and my dad's church fellowship together for years. And we would see each other either at their church or my church or my dad's church at least five times every year, at least, if not more than that, because that was just us going to each other's churches. That didn't include us going to other people's churches where we were invited at the same time
