And so then it was a couple of minutes went by, and she called me back, and she was like, I'm sorry, can you just go ahead and continue? And so I finished, and when I got done, she said, I don't even know how to tell you this. And I was like, what? And I was waiting for her to be like, yeah, you're not related to us, or whatever. And she was like, you are my full sister

Then, you know, we read it together, and I cried again for the thousandth time, which I'm not a crier, so I knew I was kind of overwhelmed. And then that Sunday was my dad's actual birthday, so I got to wish him happy birthday because it was his birthday. And then what else happened? But there's a lot of different emotions, and I tell people all the time, if you have questions and you are wondering about, like, if you're adopted or if you just didn't know your family and you have questions, you really have to count up the cost, and you really have to think about all of the different emotions that are going to come now. You know what I mean? But I didn't get offended because I probably would do the same thing if the situation was reversed. You know what I mean? But, yeah, I'm excited

And her mother didn't want to talk to her. Her mother told her that she gave her up for a reason, and it was because her mother was white and her father was black, and her maternal grandfather was a racist, so he was racist. And so I'm not really sure how her and my sister's dad got together. Her dad was pleased to meet her, and I think she still talks to him to this day
