On #leadership visibility, whether attending #COP28 is a must, and how to more strategically approach #mediarelations.
Being online and building some community around their expertise and their topic all throughout the year, that would be something they could activate at the moment of an event like a climate week or a cop and so not have to fly and not necessarily have to be on a specific panel or all of that, but really think strategically about being productive and having an impact in kind of an off to the side way
So that's really what I wanted to say, and I would be very interested to hear from other people about how they view their leadership and being visible as a leader and what they think about being accessible and being seen by media, if that's one of their goals. And, of course, anybody who's interested in Climate, who's following Cop, I'd love to hear what you're interested and the leaders that you'll be following. So thanks for listening

And as far as cop 28, I really thought it was kind of a dying conference. I didn't think that there was much coming out of it. But then when biden and jinping kind of made a commitment to renewable energy, I think that kind of breathed a little bit of new life into cop 28 and kind of looking forward to what can be accomplished with the money that they're pledging into renewable energy. But again, it comes back to that word, pledging
Anyway, the idea of that is the transparency and that these corporations are going to be held to something. And so that is the new pledge, the corporations that sign on to that. I'm watching them closely at Cop
You. Hi, thank you for sharing this. I really enjoyed listening to all the points you have to make and I agree wholeheartedly with them. I wouldn't necessarily call myself somebody that is in within the climate activism community, but I am somebody who I think in my own life tries to advocate for the climate, for the planet as much as possible

There are reasons why Cop, where it is located, floats around the world to make it accessible to more people. So they aren't always in the Global North, they're in the Global South sometimes, et cetera, et cetera. There are lots of reasons, but you're right, dubai, Saudi Arabia are incredibly problematic right now for a lot of reasons, not just the fact that they're producing oil while they're saying that they're going to act on climate
