Forgiveness in Grief: My story

But I'm just forgiving them to not sit in this pit of anger and hostility and blame so that I can open up space for community, for love, for togetherness and support. And how can I turn that anger into support? How can I turn that inability to trust into really leaning in and discovering more depth in the people that are good? We have to shift our focus, we have to shift our mindset. And grief is a very tricky thing and it's different for everybody

But, you know, I also realized that in both situations, there was nothing I could do about I didn't have a key to my mother's house. And when she passed away, somebody had stolen my phone. I had gotten my telephone number changed, I got my email address, and luck of the draw, a niece found me, and she told me, baby girl, stop blaming yourself. Don't blame yourself. You know, the way of forgiveness is to forgive yourself
