So the collage within a collage picture and I'm going to be sharing my collages down below. I'm really digging this. So thanks again, Roe and Christina for this inspiration and hopefully we can keep this going. And I'd love to see any of the collages of the folks I tagged if you're able to join in

You stand like an oak and aspen and alder it's in you don't falter and if so then I got you that's the first couple lyrics of Stand Like an Oak, one of my favorite songs by Rising Appalachia. It's a sister duo band, but they also play with a lot of other amazing musicians. I've just been putting their spotify radio on, so it's like a mix of their songs and then other artists that are similar to them

But the link has all the other photo that he took of the mermaid parade, so you can check out all the other amazing costumes. It was such a beautiful day and I had so much fun and we got so many people coming up wanting to take pictures of us, which I was so surprised, I did not expect that, but it just was a day full of creativity and just color and joy and we danced. So just a perfect day. Celebrating mer, people

I'm probably really butchering this story, but I would highly recommend checking out the article and Jen's work. Jen Murphy's. Work. I really just love the Sulky story. I really think about it, about really finding what is our feel like, what is it that we need that keeps us going and that sometimes it can feel like it could be taken away and how do we reclaim that and how do we get that back? So, yes, the story of the Selkies really inspires me

What would you shape shift into?

So if there's inspiration to take and I think for myself, I would pick an owl. I've been really connected to owls for the past year. I think I would love to be able to have that wisdom and to see from all the different angles and just that really peaceful knowledge. But what would you shape shift into and why?

I love this glimpse that's so unexpected into who you are and the things that you appreciate and you like, this is so cool. I couldn't figure out what would I want to shift into, because I didn't want to shift into any just one thing. And then when I started thinking about it, the reoccurring theme was essentially, I guess, energy. Because at first I thought it would be really cool to be mycelium

Since I was a kid, I've just always been fascinated with foxes. I would be a fox specifically, maybe like an arctic fox. I always liked them and how they changed their colors in the winter or in the spring, rather. But I don't know. I like how cunning and sneaky they are. I like how high up they can leap, how nimble they are
