And as an early childhood educator myself, I really appreciate Bridget's holistic approach to her work as a parent coach and the emphasis on the importance of early childhood in our human development. Bridget is a part of the unschooling movement, which I know a little bit about, but I can't wait to hear more. Bridget is also a beautiful musician. We actually went to the same performing arts college shout out to Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle

Hi, Chelsea. Thanks so much for having me. This is so cool. Yes. So, in my own words, I am a regenerative parent coach. I use that word regenerative because it ties very much into my Earth based spirituality and the nature of all things. This world that we're in is it revolves around cycles. So we have the moon cycles, we have the seasonal cycles

But the importance of what you said, sitting that you hold space for the dark feelings for parents, I just think that is so important and you're doing just really necessary work. I like to ask about a time in your life where either you've been burnt or if you want to look at it as, like, the shadow time in your life and how you moved through it or are currently moving through it

And I was able to get a mentorship with it was a husband and wife couple who ran the thing, and the husband was an Acupuncturist, and the wife did all the office management, and she was a Brennan healer, and she became my mentor, and she invited me to join her women's circle. And so I learned so much. I had already been into Reiki

Not sure if you have heard of this, but yeah, I just find it really fascinating and really a great way or a great alternative to our current school system. So, yeah, it's you wouldn't mind sharing a little bit about that. I'm sure other folks here on Swell would love to know more too

He's he has such an intellectual curiosity. I have no doubt that he will learn what he needs to when he needs to for his own development. And that's just how it was born. For me. It was that I was not willing to do what it would take to make my child fit into a public school system. And we couldn't afford a private school system. So it looks like me working from home and my husband working outside of the home

It's like, yeah, the environment is very unnatural for sure, and it's like very unlike our species to have so many children and so few adults. That's very, very strange for our evolution. A good book about that is the power of showing up, actually. But what I was going to say is my big gripe is the lack of consent in education

Oh, no. Correction. And I jumped out of bed to say this. It was not the power of showing up. It's Hold on to your Kids by Gabor Matte that talked about the ratios of adults to children creating insecure attachment for the children who are not equipped to be attached figures for each other. That's what that was about
