And he came in, chatted with me, briefly walked out of my curtain, and then shortly thereafter was screaming at his team about the schedule, the surgical schedule for the day. Apparently what was on the schedule for that day was different from what he had looked at the previous day. And there was a surgery that he was scheduled to perform at a time that he wasn't able to given some obligations outside of work

But just in case if you're not, there's a lot of books out there on the topic, and the notion behind this term is that, first of all, psychopaths, there's this stereotypical image of psychopaths that they are nothing more than your horrendous serial killer. And I'm not saying that's not true, but population wise, society wise, there are more people out there in life that fit the psychopathic profile than you can shake a stick at

What was really intriguing to me about the whole situation was just to see the ripple effect of someone in a leadership role who completely loses their faculties when they are seen as someone in a position of authority, and what that does inside of a team or a group, in terms of the culture, the level of trust. And again, what I assume as what creates a psychologically safe work environment, my guess is that people tiptoe around this gentleman at times in fear of what a reaction might be
