It has more often felt like a bargaining chip, flippantly handled. Or like broken promises and hurt feelings. Like a waste, wasted, taken for granted, shriveled up, suffocated. Only left with the darkness after the light has been deliberately sucked out. Loneliness. But not literally alone. But I hear this is not really true love. So how could I know? How could I know if what I am feeling is real?
