Do you reward yourself after you reach your goal? Do you set goals for your manuscript?

What now I got to do is complete a scene that I started in one of my chapters, but that's not going to be a big deal. So my next goal is by the middle of July, be done with draft five, basically, and then start the process over with draft six

This is a great question. I was actually talking to a friend of mine who's a musician and we were talking about our processes. I do theater, I've been, I've been writing a lot lately. So we were talking about our processes and he was telling me that he's shifted his outlook in terms of like he will reward himself or his goals will not be necessarily a product, but they'll be amount of time dedicated to the practice of making music. Goals and limits

Not everyone can, but it can be adjusted for those that work a typical nine to five sort of job. I have found though, that with the advent of COVID more and more people are working remotely. So if that's the case, then this sort of boxing out time frame will definitely work. And if you stick to that, which I do. Rewards. Absolutely. There's nothing more gratifying than moving forward on a project that you've worked so hard on
