Something about swiping right or left just doesn't sit right with me. I feel like I would be picking out of a catalog, and that's just not my ideal. But I was just wondering if it's normal to have a little anxiety or just feeling like you don't know how to get back into the dating scene life, I guess you could say. I'm not sure. But yeah, that's my question

Whereas I had met my ex spouse, the mother of my kids, I met her on MySpace, so obviously I was a long time ago, but I've kind of, in a way, done online dating pretty much. It's been 90% of my dating life. I have met the occasional person in real life, and things went okay as it could be

Usually women like you, that's how you kind of are, which is fine, but are you totally against online dating? Obviously it sounds like you are. You want to meet people that you already know, so possibly it could be someone you know. But of course they're going to have to talk to you first. Have you ever made the first move on a guy in your life? I'm curious about that

Actually, no. I was really sheltered growing up. My parents were really strict. Well, my mom was really strict, so I wasn't really allowed to date until I was like 19 and a half, almost 20, or have a boyfriend. So the reason why I chose chose to kind of date people that I grew up with and already knew was because it was easier for me to be allowed to go out and stay out really late and stuff like that

I used to date, and we've just been texting, talking sometimes, but he's alluding to wanting to see me, and I'm kind of not responding to that because I'm realizing that I've evolved as a human being. And he's exactly like he used to be, like, 20 years ago. I think I expect more out of someone I'm dating
