#thecheckin - Ep. 32: What kind of filmmaking is this supposed to be? 🎞️

And I was looking at some of the footage of the trailer, and I know it has more casting, but those are the four essential selling points of the film. And I did not know that this was a movie that was even in development, because when it comes to superhero narratives, intellectual property driven projects, and video game movies, I am out of the loop just because, in my personal opinion, this type of narration is oversaturating the landscape of entertainment

I just think that he is somebody that's capable of leaving his mark on a film, even one that has so much going against it. So, fingers crossed. Would love to know what you think about Eli Roth being involved. I don't know that I heard you mention him in your initial swell, so I'm curious to know your thoughts. Take care

And I think a great deal of that debut film is pretty much owed to Roth's dedication, but also Quentin Tarantino's oversight as producer. It's obvious. You can tell there's a lot of care involved in that. And I'm not saying that Roth isn't a capable filmmaker on his own, but I think that Tarantino's oversight really kind of helped us see how good of a filmmaker Roth is
